No Bush summit during Mideast trip
US president George W. Bush will travel next month to Israel, Egypt and Saudi Arabia, but is not planning a trilateral summit with Israeli and Palestinian leaders while there, the White House said today. "The president and Mrs (Laura) Bush will travel to Israel, Saudi Arabia, and Egypt from May 13-18," the White House said. The president's trip will celebrate America's "close ties over the past six decades" with Israel, on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Jewish state, it said. His visit to Saudi Arabia will commemorate the 75th anniversary of the formal establishment of US-Saudi relations. The visit also will focus on cooperation with US Mideast allies and "will reaffirm efforts toward peace and prosperity and our close work with regional allies to combat terrorism and promote freedom".

Travelers: Is it better to insure or not to insure?
Question: We are planning a Mediterranean cruise and can't seem to find any kind of trip-cancellation insurance only. All insurance seems to be packages, which include medical insurance. We don't need such an extensive package. Do we have to buy the whole package just to get this coverage? --Norman Brenner, Los Angeles Answer: This is a bit like asking whether you have to buy the whole burger just to get the pickle. The answer, generally, is yes, but having the whole package may keep you out of a pickle. Before you pull out your credit card and buy that comprehensive coverage package (you can comparison shop at such sites as www.insuremytrip.com, www.squaremouth.com and www.quotewright.com), consider how risk-averse you are and whether having that insurance will provide the peace of mind that's like a gift from the don't-worry-be-happy gods.sage travel insurance.
